Meet Bishop Woods
Bishop K.R. Woods is “The Bishop on a Mission.” He was called to the ministry at an early age, and now he celebrates 40 years of service to the body of Christ.
Bishop Woods has traveled extensively across the United States as an author, evangelist and seminar speaker. He has held several offices in the local church, community organizations and as District Elder in the 16th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. Currently, he serves as chairman of the Northern California District Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. Bishop Woods is the founder and lead pastor of Covenant Church.
To date, his ministerial accomplishments are:
- earning a bachelor’s of theology from Shiloh Bible College
- establishing the City Help Mobile Free Clinic
- establishing the Covenant Word Television Broadcast
- establishing the City Help Feeding and Homeless Ministries
- establishing the Random Acts of Kindness Outreach Ministry
- publishing his book Exploring the Gray Areas
He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area. Bishop Woods stands upon the words of Jesus in the Bible—”that he came not to be ministered unto, but to minister. His commission is to heal the broken hearted; preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind; to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18, 19)
