Summer Of Love
The Summer of Love was a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967, when over 100,000 young people converged in San Francisco’s neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury. They sported Hippie fashions, anti-establishment sentiments and “free-love.” During the Summer of Love 2022, we will pick up the theme of “free-love”—not as the Hippies did in ’67, but rather in the way Christ did in A.D. 33. Christ gave his life freely. Therefore, we give our service freely—to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and shelter the houseless. This message series will deepen your understanding of Christian service. We cannot declare ourselves Christians if we do not serve others. So, internalize these teachings and allow them to inspire you to serve humanity.
